On the Hunt

For houses that is. We started looking with our realtor about a month ago. It's been fun so far. We've learned a lot - but there's so much more to learn. It seems to be a good time to buy in Chattanooga. More and more houses keep popping up on the market in our price range and ideal location. Today we got really excited about one that we really liked (great location, had almost all the things we were looking for). Here's the thing, we're tied to a lease for our apartment that doesn't end until the beginning of November, so it seems we're looking a little early unless we can work something out with our leasing office (which we are really hoping we can do). Otherwise, there's a HUGE monetary penalty for breaking the lease. So we have a lot of "what ifs" in this whole home buying scenario. We'd ideally like to purchase a home by August or September. But over the past few weeks we've learned that God's timing might be a little different. We're counting on Him to let us know when it's the right one and the right time. We'll keep you posted.

Good luck guys. All the hassles with buying a house, getting a mortgage, and moving can be a real pain. But with the housing market going down it's a great time to buy in the US. I hope it works out! Good luck!

Just a reminder that I'd like my room to have a nice big window, and preferably its own separate bathroom. Thanks.
