Sacrifice

Memorial Day will be rolling by in a couple of days. In the past, I've never really considered it any more than a day to be off work and get together with family and friends. But in light of everything that's going on, it would be pretty disrespectful for me to continue with that mindset.

I've been more than laissez-faire about world happenings since I feel like none of it really affects what happens here in our little pocket of the world. And, though not a fan or supporter of war in any capacity, I'm not out there picketing and protesting for it to stop. But, these strangers are out there everyday defending my safety and comfort, and deserve more credit than what is given them.

It won't really mean much coming from me but.. thank you.
