Going green

In an effort to lessen the polution we cause, we've decided that we will be forgoing the good ol' motorized mowers and substituting them for a couple of lawn clippers. CARB mentions that operating a gas lawn mower for an hour emits as much polution as driving a car for 13 hours. Not quite sure of the validity of the claim, but it's certain that gas mowers do produce enough polution to make themselves note-worthy.

Though I'm not exactly thrilled that it'll take more time to mow the somewhat semi-gargantuan lawn, we'll feel better knowing that we're at least trying to do our part in being more eco-friendly inhabitants. Plus, the benefit of some extra cardio from the additional pushing and walking couldn't hurt. Here's to hoping that we'll persevere and not completely wimp out.
